CoraScape Furtur Arc 2013

CoraScape proposes an organic aggregation of porous, buoyant modules that creates an inhabitable offshore environment while simultaneously restoring fragile coral habitats and marine biodiversity. Synthesizing existing technologies of Dutch floating homes and coral accretion processes, CoraScape aims to re-frame Man’s love-hate relationship with the Ocean into a symbiotic, mutually beneficial existence. Conceived as a floating marine eco-tourism destination beside Pulau Semakau, Singapore, Corascape positions itself as a prototype for low-impact offshore reclamation in the face of the inescapable rise of sea levels in our near future.
